Scott Kim, RocketReach | Build great products by empathetically understanding your customers

Scott Kim, the son of two Korean immigrants, spent many childhood years working at his family’s African American beauty supply store in St. Louis. Customers asked him questions, but since he never used the products, he had to learn from other customers.

As CEO of Bankrate, Zocdoc, and now RocketReach, he has applied the principles he learned in the beauty supply store: build a strong product, treat your customers with great kindness, and always learn with an open mind.

Everything else in business flows from there. Scott specializes in bringing products from good to great, using patience, data, and empathy.
