Doug Brown
Doug Brown is a thoughtful investor with 35 years of experience working with entrepreneur-owned businesses. Doug was a partner with Holding Capital Group, ZS Fund and Arcade Partners. He has completed over 50 platform transactions totaling more than $1.5 billion in value. He began his career in investment banking at Smith Barney and Drexel Burnham. Doug has invested in numerous industries including business services, distribution, manufacturing, consumer products, ecommerce, hospitality, and QSR franchises. In his spare time, Doug plays tennis well and golf poorly. He approaches his business partnerships with a warm and collaborative spirit. Doug has a Computer Science degree from Dartmouth and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School.

Dan King
Dan is a tennis and meditation-loving former lawyer with a background in private investing and executive coaching. Dan began his career in M&A law at a large firm and then working on the deal team of one of the Sharks on the Shark Tank TV show, doing contract drafting and due diligence. He saw many small companies grow so quickly their people were burned out. He became passionate about the human side of business and left law to train as an executive coach. He built a few companies in the coaching industry, failing a few times, and then selling one (which served the legal industry). At Fireside, he leverages his experience with M&A and org psych to build a mental health business without burnout. Dan studied Law at McGill University and Psychology at Columbia University (Teacher’s College). He is a world traveler and veteran of 2 extreme auto races, driving a Fiat from London to Mongolia and a rickshaw the length of India.

Michael Goldberg
Michael is a Clinical Psychologist and was Founder and CEO of Child & Family Psychological Services, Inc., which sold to LifeStance Health in 2017. He later became Division President of LifeStance Health, where he led the private equity company’s acquisitions in the Northeast. He was responsible for the acquisition of 10 practices and established 12 new locations. He executed multiple strategic partnerships before LifeStance recapitalized with TPG in 2020 and went public in 2021. Michael cared deeply about the clinicians and, through creating exceptional cultures for them, was able to increase the retention rate at acquired practices. He is a leading national expert in the business of mental health. Michael’s Doctorate in Psychology is from Saint Louis University.
